The sense of smell has a powerful effect on our emotions; they help transform the way we feel. When we combine smell, sight and touch in a pleasing way, the results can be balancing, relaxing, comforting, refreshing and uplifting. I have a passion for smell. It keeps me connected. It keeps me alive. The connection has always been there, for as long as I can remember, and it can be found in every part of Aromafloria and in every product we produce.
Our knowledge of the healing powers of aromas dates back thousands of years. Ancient cultures in China, Egypt and Greece placed great emphasis on aromatic oils for therapeutic, spiritual and ritual purposes. The term aromatherapy wasn’t introduced until the 20th-century but the historic reference to smell as a tool for good health can be found in every culture throughout the ages. Since the brain registers aroma twice as fast as it does pain, inhalation of aromas can quickly and vigorously transform our emotions.
I have avidly pursued a lifelong career studying, researching and developing products and services with a focus on the healing power of fragrances and aromatherapy. It has taken me all over the world and I have had the opportunity to research, and scientifically validate, folklore benefits of plant materials from the Amazon Rainforest. An astounding 85% of them were validated by western scientific standards. As a chemist, pharmacist and aromatherapist I have the tools and knowledge to develop products that combine the best of the natural and synthetic worlds to reach the optimized result without swaying away from my core belief:
To obtain wellness and balance of body, mind and spirit, while preserving the earth and her resources.
From that belief Aromafloria was conceived. Since 1983 we have kept our promise to deliver products promoting a sense of wellbeing and balance to body and mind. We combine ancient philosophies and rituals with the technology of modern science to create a multi-sensory approach to wellness. Healing is an art and science validates.
The plant kingdom grows some of the simplest, purest solutions to many of our everyday ailments. Natural, organic materials contain a life-force that can never fully be re-created in a laboratory or through science. We nourish that life force and guarantee its presence in every product we make.
